Remember last New Year’s Eve and the promise to yourself that this would be the year you accomplish more, and you want to make it happen. You haven’t reached any of your goals this year?

We are setting goals because we want to become better versions of ourselves, want more success or get more experiences. Goal setting is the first step. It marks your first point toward success and puts your life into real action mode.

There is a reason you want to accomplish something so respect that desire and do something about it. Here are 6 ways that may help you reach your goal.

  1. Daily Motivation

Many go through their lives unaware of their lack of motivation or their “average” levels of motivation. It’s ok to do some jobs with an average level of motivation but not selling. Motivate yourself to be more than average every day!

  1. Remind yourself WHY

Everybody has a routine in their lives. Doing the same thing repeatedly. It’s ok to have a routine, but don’t let it dull your passion, spirit and hunger!  Successful people have passion, drive and hunger and one way they maintain this is by reminding themselves “WHY” they are here and “WHY” they are following the path of a sales superhero.

  1. Set Small weekly goals you can accomplish

Momentum builds momentum. Many give up on their goals, because they set them way too high or they can’t be managed in daily life. If you have set a very high goal for yourself, break it up into tiny ones. Start with one step and see where that takes you. Select milestones to get there and make each of those tiny goals. This will keep you motivated.

  1. Celebrate your success each day

Congratulate yourself for the most significant thing you accomplished very day no matter how small it may have been. Never end the day without feeling good about it. This will help you begin the next day in a much better state of mind.

  1. Remove the negative

Don’t allow negative voices, whether they be from an unhappy friend or costumer, to bring you down and impact your day. If you are exposed to negativity, seek out someone positive to move you back to a positive outlook at the end of the day. Listen to or have a nice conversation with someone who inspires you.

  1. Commit to yourself

There is only one person in this process that matters – YOU. You’re the one who must do the work and show effort. You’re the one who needs to finish that task, so you can score the promotion. You’re the one receiving the paycheck that will eventually give you financial freedom. Commit to yourself and then re-commit yourself each time you fail and become unmotivated.
